Camas, Skyview both in top 5 in 4A in final Associated Press state football rankings of season
Camas and Skyview each moved up one spot, with both in the top 5 in Class 4A, in the final Associated Press state high school football rankings released Wednesday.
With the WIAA seeding committees seeding the state tournament on Sunday, state media members opted for making these the final rankings of the season.
With Curtis, last week’s No. 3 team in 4A, falling to Puyallup last week, Camas (8-1) moved up one spot to No. 3 behind top-ranked Graham-Kapowsin and No. 2 Lake Stevens. Skyview (8-1) moved up one spot to No. 5
Mountain View (8-1) made its debut in the 3A rankings, coming in at No. 10, while Woodland (7-2) held at No. 9 in the 2A rankings.
La Center (9-0), which was tied for No. 5 in Class 1A last week with Cashmere, found itself behind Cashmere, falling to No. 6 in the final rankings despite a road win at Castle Rock. Seton Catholic (8-1) held at No. 8 in 1A.
Kalama (6-3) held at No. 4 in Class 2B.
