Woodland makes debut in Week 8 Associated Press state football rankings
Ahead of its 2A Greater St. Helens League showdown with Ridgefield, Woodland made its debut in the Associated Press state prep football rankings, coming in at No. 9 in Class 2A.
The Beavers (6-2), winners of four straight, will face Ridgefield (6-2) on Friday for the 2A GSHL title.
Camas (7-1) jumped to No. 4 in Class 4A, while Skyview dropped to No. 6. Battle Ground dropped out of the 4A rankings.
La Center (8-0) is tied at No. 5 in Class 1A with Cashmere, while Seton Catholic (7-1) sits at No. 8.
Kalama rose to No. 4 in Class 2B despite a 5-3 record. All three of the Chinooks’ losses have come to ranked teams in Class 2A (Woodland), 1A (La Center) and 2B (Napavine).
