Washougal makes debut in the Class 2A top-ten in latest Associated Prep prep football rankings

Washougal made its debut in the Class 2A top-10 of the Associated Press state media poll for prep football released Wednesday.

The Panthers (5-1) came in at No. 10 in Class 2A with eight points from a statewide panel of media members.

Washougal joined Skyview and La Center as other area ranked football teams.

Skyview (5-1) held steady at No. 9 at Class 4A after a rout of Kentwood last week.

And despite a comeback from a 25-0 deficit to beat Mount Baker last week, La Center (5-1) remained at No. 10 in the Class 1A rankings.
