La Center, Skyview remain only local teams in Associated Press state football rankings

Skyview and La Center remain the lone two local teams to break into the top-10 at their classification in the latest Associated Press state high school football polls released Wednesday.

Skyview (4-1), coming off a 51-0 win over Heritage, moved up one spot in the Class 4A rankings to No. 9.

La Center (4-1), coming off a 46-0 win over King’s Way Christian, slipped one spot in the Class 1A rankings to No. 10.

Evergreen, the lone remaining undefeated local team at 5-0, did not receive enough votes to be listed in the “also receiving votes” in Class 3A.
