Ridgefield No. 1 at 2A in state coaches volleyball rankings
Technically, the Ridgefield Spudders are the two-time defending Class 2A state champions.
The Spudders took the state title in 2018 and 2019, and the 2020-21 season did not include a state tournament. So no team has won a state title since the last time the Spudders did.
And the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association put the Spudders on top of the 2A state rankings released Wednesday.
Ridgefield was one of seven local teams to find their into the top 10 at their classification. Camas was tied for No. 6 at 4A. Kelso was tied for No. 5 at 3A. Columbia River was tied for No. 6 at 2A. Castle Rock came in No. 3 at 1A. And Kalama came in No. 3 at 2B.
