Former Skyview assistant Brian Hansen hired as Fort Vancouver’s baseball coach
Fort Vancouver announced the hiring of Brian Hansen as its new varsity baseball coach on Monday.
Hansen, a former Skyview assistant, takes over the program from Shane Schoeneberg, who left the post last summer without ever coaching the Trappers on the diamond.
Schoeneberg succeeded Owen Frasier as head coach in June 2019. But then the pandemic wiped out the 2020 spring season, and Schoeneberg left Fort in August to take a job in Alaska.
“Coach Hansen has been an assistant at Skyview the last several years,” Fort tweeted out Monday. “He brings experience, a winning attitude and a hunger to build a program at Fort.”
