ABOUT PUYALLUP: Puyallup is the South Puget Sound League runner-up. The Vikings’ lone loss a 27-13 loss to Graham-Kapowsin in Week 4. Puyallup lost in the semifinals to Union last season. The Vikings have two common opponents with Camas — Sumner and Union. Puyallup beat Sumner 29-12 in Week 3 and Union 42-41 in Week 5. Junior QB Luke Holcomb leads the Vikings. He has passed for 2,374 yards and 19 touchdowns. Senior Isaiah Dickerson leads the Vikings in rushing with 705 yards and 11 TDs. Senior Joseph Dwyer is the top receiver with 51 catches for 673 yards and six TDs. Jordan Dwyer (28-511-5), Angel Sanchez (29-494-4) and Isaac Clark (28-331-5) are other top targets. Last week against Eastlake, Puyallup took a 28-27 lead at halftime, but needed Ziere Ford’s 6-yard TD run with a minute left to win 40-34.

ABOUT CAMAS: Camas was the 4A Greater St. Helens League champion. The Papermakers are back in the quarterfinals for the first time since winning the state title in 2016. Against common opponents with Puyallup, Camas beat Sumner Sumner 52-0 in Week 6 and Union 28-14 in Week 9. Since stepping in as the starting QB three week ago, senior Blake Ascuitto has completed 35 of 57 passes for 675 yards and six touchdowns.Recent weeks has been about managing injuries and workload of its players to keep players fresh for big games to come. Jacques Badolato-Birdsell leads the team with 1,006 yards and 20 TDs. His 17 carries last week (99 yards and 3 TDs) were his most since Week 6. Jackson Clemmer (31 catches, 806 yards, 13 TDs) is the leading receiver, along with Charlie Bump (28-316-2). The defense has not allowed any opponent to score more than 17 points in any one game.
