ABOUT ELMA: The Eagles were the No. 3 team from 1A Evergreen Conference. Elma has three common opponents with La Center. The Eagles beat King’s Way Christian (34-8) and lost to Castle Rock (52-14) and Hoquiam (32-7). Elma has had an up-and-down season. But the return of QB Cody Vollan helped. He passed for 200 yards and 4 TDs in Week 8 win over Forks that put Elma into the playoffs. Brady Shriver and Isaiah O’Farrill are the top running backs.

ABOUT LA CENTER: The Trico League champion has three common opponents with Elma. The Wildcats beat King’s Way Christian (38-21), Hoquiam (48-14) and Castle Rock (42-39). Sophomore Bryten Schmitz has rushed for 890 yards and 13 touchdowns. He had a season-high 216 yards last week. In two of the Wildcats’ biggest games, Schmitz has rushed for 378 yards. QB Tom Lambert has passed for 1,058 yards and 11 TDs. He had a season-best 216 yards last week. Lambert has rushed for 753 yards and 13 TDs.
