ABOUT OLYMPIA: The Bears tied for fifth in the South Puget Sound League. Olympia has two common opponents with Camas – Sumner and Skyview. The Bears lost to Sumner 31-10 and lost to Skyview 53-14. Olympia trailed 6-0 to Curtis after giving up a big first-quarter touchdown. But Alfredo Ramirez broke free on a 45-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Ben Krasnokutsky’s PAT kick gave Olympia a 7-6 lead. Ramirez leads the Bears with more than 600 yards rushing. Senior Nathan Hermann leads the Bears with more than 1,300 yards passing.

ABOUT CAMAS: The Papermakers have two common opponents with Olympia. Camas beat Sumner 52-0 and beat Skyview 21-17. Senior Blake Ascuitto made his first start last week in place of injured starting QB Jake Blair. Ascuitto completed 7 of 11 passes for 136 yards and two TDs. But the Papermakers will depend on their strengths – a big offensive line and a stout defense. Camas rushed for 200 yards last week, led by Randy Yaacoub (76) and Tyler Forner (74). The defense came up with three interceptions.
