ABOUT PRAIRIE: Prairie gets a non-league break this week while the Falcons learn what they will be playing for next week when they face Evergreen. If Mountain View beat Kelso on Friday, Prairie will be assured of a playoff berth and be playing for the No. 2 or No. 3 seed next week. But if Kelso wins, the Falcons will be playing for the No. 1 seed to the Week 10 playoffs or elimination. Prairie rebounded from a loss to Mountain View by routing Hudson’s Bay, taking a 44-0 lead by halftime. AJ Dixson rushed for 139 yards, 118 of which came on two long TD runs. He rushed for three TDs last week.
ABOUT RIDGEFIELD: The Spudders will be getting ready for their Week 9 showdown with Hockinson for at least a share of the league title. Hunter Abrams rushed for a season-high 285 yards and 31 carries. It was the fourth game this season that Abrams has carried the ball 24 times or more in a game. He rushed for three touchdowns, giving him 13 on the season. He has rushed for 999 yards. QB Luke Price has passed for 915 yards.
