ABOUT UNION: Junior Alex Gehrmann threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns after making his first start because CJ Jordan was concussion protocol. After relieving Jordan in the Week 3 loss to Eastlake, Gehrmann now leads the team in passing yards with 474 yards. Jordan has passed for 387 yards and three TDs. RB Isaiah Jones has been the workhorse on offense, rushing for 506 yards and seven TDs. Union had two wins over Puyallup last week, also winning 38-31 in Week 5 of the regular season.

ABOUT PUYALLUP: The Vikings’ defense led them to a 3-0 start, allowing just 15 points in those three wins. Puyallup took a 10-0 lead last week against Graham-Kapowsin before being outscored 27-3. The Vikings were held to 125 yards of offense last week. QB Luke Holcomb passed for 97. Luke Holcomb, a junior, is the younger brother of Jacob Holcomb, who passed for 3,148 yards last season. Linebacker Danny Uluilakepa leads the defense. Puyallup’s only two losses last season came to Union.
