GAME NOTES: Elma finished 3-6 last season. The Eagles placed fourth in the 1A Evergreen Conference. King’s Way Christian finished 3-6 last season. The Knights tied for fourth in the Trico League. Elma returns seven starters on offense and nine on defense, led by QB Cody Vollan and RB Taitum Brumfield. The Eagles are looking to compete for a playoff berth. Former Skyview assistant Brian Rodriguez is a first-year coach at King’s Way. This year’s group of seniors are playing for their fourth head coach in four year. However, there are only five seniors on the roster, led by LB Dylan Scott. Junior QB Kemper Schrock threw for 852 yards and 8 TDs last year.
