Aggregate statewide girls basketball rankings Jan. 19

So it appears that there will be no Associated Press state basketball rankings this year after a fifth attempt to get enough statewide members of the media fell short.

As an alternative, we offer these aggregate state rankings, which use rankings of three media outlets. So sort of media rankings.

These rankings are made up of eight different state rankings: RPI, Tacoma News Tribune, Seattle Times, MaxPreps (which is different from RPI), Score Czar, Evans Rankings and The Columbian.

We put them together into an aggregate ranking, based off a 10-9-8-etc voting system.

Here’s what they looked like for girls rankings in Class 4A through 1A. Only seven votes were cast in 2A and 1A as the Seattle Times does not rank teams in those classes.
