2016 MEETING: Mountain View 48, Evergreen 7

GAME NOTES: Mountain View had secured the No. 1 seed to the Week 10 playoffs and will host the KingCo’s No. 3 team (Lake Washington, Mercer Island or Redmond). A win would give the Thunder the 3A GSHL title outright. Evergreen can clinch the No. 3 seed with a win and a Bay loss to Kelso. If Evergreen wins and Bay wins, a three-way tie for second would exist between Evergreen, Bay and Kelso, requiring a tiebreaker to be played on Monday or Tuesday. Evergreen also clinches the No. 3 seed with losses by Bay and Prairie. If Evergreen loses, Bay loses and Prairie wins, a three-way tie would exist for third between those three teams, requiring a tiebreaker on Monday or Tuesday. Mountain View has won four in a row, scoring at least 29 points. The Thunder have averaged 38 points a game this season. Evergreen is coming off back-to-back losses, scoring just 13 points. Evergreen has been held to 12 points or fewer in six of eight games this season. The Plainsmen’s lone score last week came on an interception return for a TD.
