2A GREATER ST. HELENS LEAGUE GAME
WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Longview Memorial Stadium, 2903 Nichols Blvd., Longview

LAST WEEK: Washougal lost to Woodland 20-7; R.A. Long beat Ridgefield 29-7
2016 MEETING: Washougal 27, R.A. Long 19
GAME NOTES: It’s pretty simply for Washougal. If the Panthers beat the Lumberjacks, they’ll claim one of the four playoffs to the district playoffs. If Washougal loses, it would need Ridgefield to lose at least over the last weeks to keep the Panthers’ playoff hopes alive. Injuries have crept up on Washougal. The Panthers lost linebacker Brevan Bea, lineman Mason Armstrong and receiver Jacob Davis in recent weeks. That puts more of a burden on RB Kade Coons (849 yards rushing, 10 TDs), QB Ryan Stevens (774 yards passing, 5 TDs) and the defense. R.A. Long will put itself in strong position for a playoff berth with a win over Washougal. R.A. Long gained almost 400 yards against Ridgefield. QB Owen Enriquez completed passes to seven different receivers and RB Parker Reeves rushed for 147 yards and two TDs.
