LAST WEEK: Union beat Evergreen 49-6; Skyview beat Battle Ground 48-13
2016 MEETING: Skyview 43, Union 28.
GAME NOTES: A loss would eliminate Skyview from the postseason hunt. Union would play Camas next week for the league title, with the loser receiving the No. 2 bid to the Week 10 playoffs. Skyview has reached the playoffs for the last 12 years. The last year the Storm missed the playoffs was 2004, Steve Kizer’s first year as coach. Skyview must win this week and next week vs. Heritage to clinch at least the No. 2 seed to the playoffs or a spot in a three-way tiebreaker if Union were to beat Camas next week. Union’s Jojo Siofele has rushed for 573 yards and 8 TDs; Skyview’s Jalynnee McGee has rushed for 710 yards and 8 TDs. Union QB Lincoln Victor has passed for 1,095 yards and 14 TDs. Skyview QB Max Rose has passed for 1,421 yards and 13 TDs. Union receiver Darien Chase has 25 catches for 550 yards and 8 TDs, including four last week. Skyview receiver Tavis Pinkney had 39 catches and 560 yards and 5 TDs. Skyview’s Cole Grossman missed last week with an arm/elbow injury and his status is questionable this week. Skyview has won the last three meetings.
