WHEN: 7 p.m. Friday
WHERE: Schroeder Field, Kelso HS, 1904 Allen St., Kelso
BROADCAST: Radio, 1490 AM; Internet radio, klog.com
LAST WEEK: Prairie lost to Hudson’s Bay 16-13; Kelso lost to Mountain View 29-23 OT
2016 MEETING: Kelso 24, Prairie 0
GAME NOTES: Kelso has won the last five meetings between these two schools. Prairie lost a chance to improve its playoff position against Bay last week, but a win over Kelso would be a big boost. The Falcons gave up 249 rushing yards to Bay last week. Now they’ll have to face the potent Kelso ground game. Max McDaniel rushed for 225 yards in Kelso’s OT loss to Mountain View. Prairie has never won at Kelso (0-11). Prairie’s QB Jayson Maddux has passed for 1,137 yards this season but has had wildly different results in recent weeks, throwing for 396, 45, 302 and 69 yards the last four games. If conditions are soggy on Schroeder Field’s natural grass field, that may not bode well for the Falcons.
