GAME NOTES: Tumwater gave up 244 yards on 18 carries to Bellevue’s Isaiah Ifanse last week. But 189 yards came on three long TD runs. Tumwater outgained Bellevue 202-146 in the first half, but Bellevue led 14-0. Bill Beattie took over for longtime coach Sid Otton, who retired last season. The Thunderbirds rushed for 412 yards in a Week 1 win over Franklin Pierce and 312 against Columbia River on Week 2. Union QB Lincoln Victor passed for 257 yards, but also threw four interceptions. Darien Chase caught six passes for 102 yards. The Titans defense came up with four interceptions.
