GAME NOTES: Prairie had its most productive game with its new spread offense. QB Jayson Maddux threw for 396 yards and two long TDs to Nolan Mickenham. The defense played well, allowing 179, forcing three turnovers and a safety. But Prairie was plagued by miscues, flagged for 19 penalties. The Falcons allowed TDs on a blocked punt and a punt return. In a stark contrast from past seasons, Battle Ground has become more run-heavy. The Tigers gained 200 of their 277 yards last week on the ground. Tyrel Halme led the way with 60 yards. Battle Ground gave up 316 yards passing and 6 TDs to Mountain View last week. Battle Ground has won the last three meetings in this rivalry.
