GAME NOTES: Hockinson brings back senior QB Canon Racanelli, who threw for 3,148 yards last season. He has two all-league receivers returning to throw to — his brother Sawyer and Matt Henry. A former receiver Bailey Jones moves to RB. The Hawks hope Jones’ size (6-2, 215 pounds) and speed will give Hockinson a boost in the running game they were lacking last season. La Center returns a lineup loaded with seniors. Only two juniors are slated to started on offense and defense combined. The rest are seniors. The Wildcats enjoy playing tough non-league opponents. This will be the fourth year in a row La Center has opened with Hockinson. The Wildcats are coming off a season that saw them reach the 1A state semifinals.
