GAME NOTES: Columbia River brings back the spread attack on offense in effort to boost production. Junior Matt Asplund will get the start at QB. Defense will be Cheiftains’ strength with all-leaguers Beau Braden, Austin Carter, Koben Jamison and Nathan Kunz returning. Evergreen tied for third in the 3A GSHL, then won a three-team playoff with Hudson’s Bay and Prairie to reach the Week 10 playoffs. Nadil Hodzic, Conner Ball and Alex Rodriguez give the Plainsmen experience up front, but they’ll need new players to step up in the skill positions.
