GAME NOTES: The Beavers reached the 6A state quarterfinals in Oregon last season. The Beavers are coming off back-to-back 9-3 seasons but suffered heavy graduation losses from last year’s team. Senior QB Alex Brown arrives from Jesuit. After back-to-back seven-win seasons, Battle Ground faces some changes in 2017, starting with new head coach Mike Kesler. Senior DL Aksel Fridriksson is the lone returning all-leaguer, but the Tigers’ lineup is loaded with seniors who have become accustomed to winning.
