A look at how state tournament teams are ranked by various ranking systems
So with so much of the spotlight on the WIAA’s new RPI ranking system for the state basketball tournaments, which begin this weekend with the regional round games, I thought it might be fun to take a look at how the 16 teams that advanced to the 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A state tournaments in boys and girls basketball are ranked by a variety of ranking systems.

- Score Czar computer rankings
- MaxPreps rankings
- Evans Rankings, ranking system by Tri-Cities blogger Matthew Evans
I didn’t include the final Associated Press ranking because those only rank the top 10 teams, and the last poll was released by on Feb. 1.
Look at these rankings and follow how each of these teams do the rest of this postseason. Teams are listed by the seed number into state.
