Prep football preview: Battle Ground (6-2) vs. A.C. Davis (1-7)

LAST WEEK: Battle Ground beat Heritage 33-7; Davis lost to Eastmont 36-18.
GAME NOTES: Both teams are out of playoff contention. Both teams have a common opponent – Camas. Davis lost to Camas 64-6; Battle Ground lost to Camas 49-28. Battle Ground is attempting to complete a second consecutive 7-2 regular season. Although this season, with the 4A GSHL receiving just two berths to the playoffs, the Tigers won’t be moving onto the postseason. As such, this will be the final high school game for QB Gunner Talkington, who has passed for 2,266 yards and 20 TDs this season. Another senior, WR Max Randle, ranks second in the region for receiving yards with 904 on a region-best 56 catches and 12 TDs. Davis’ 36-18 loss to Eastmont provided Eastmont with its first win of the season.
