Postseason pairings for 3A football
The playoff brackets for the Class 3A football playoffs have been set.
The 3A Greater St. Helens League will get three teams to the postseason.
The No. 1 team from the 3A Greater St. Helens League will host the No. 7 team from the Metro League in the state preliminary round on Nov. 4 or 5.
The winner will host the winner of the No. 4 team from Pierce County League and No. 2 from the South Sound Conference in the state first round.
That winner will travel to play either the Wesco No. 1 team, Metro No. 4, Metro No. 8 or GSHL No. 2 team in the state quarterfinals.
The No. 2 team from the 3A GSHL will travel to play the No. 4 team from the Metro League in the preliminary round.
The winner will travel to play either the Metro No. 8 team or Wesco No. 1 team in the state first round.
That winner will host a quarterfinal against either the PCL No. 4, SSC No. 2, Metro No. 7 or GSHL No. 1 team.
The No. 3 team from the 3A GSHL will travel east to play the No. 1 team from the Mid-Columbia Conference in the preliminary round.
The winner will travel host either the No. 4 team frmo the South Sound Conference or the No. 2 team from the KingCo Conference in the state first round.
That winner will host a state quarterfinal game against the KingCo No. 3, PCL No. 2, Metro No. 5 or Wesco No. 2 team.
