Prep football preview: Montesano (2-0) vs. Castle Rock (1-1)

WHEN, WHERE: 7 p.m. Friday at Castle Rock HS
LAST WEEK: Montesano beat Sequim 66-34; Castle Rock beat Washougal 32-19.
GAME NOTES: Montesano piled up 709 yards of offense, including 521 yards rushing, against Sequim. Junior RB Carson Klinger rushed for 229 yards and seven TDs. He also a TD reception and returned a kickoff for a score to account for nine of the Bulldogs’ 10 TDs last week. Castle Rock, learning a new offense this season, got better results in Week 2, rushing for 244 of its 287 yards of offense. Tanner Catlin rushed for 106 yards. The defense has played very well, but face a different kind of challenge in Montesano.
