Heritage, Washougal students are WIAA Athletes of the Week for Week 1
Two Clark County students were among the Week 1 winners of the WIAA Athlete of the Week awards.
Sydney Thomason of Heritage soccer won for 4A girls. The sophomore had a goal and an assist in the Timberwolves’ win over Hudson’s Bay.
Gabriel Dinnel of Washougal cross country won for 2A boys. The sophomore won the small division boys race at the Nike Ultimook Race Cross Country Invitational in Tillamook, Ore., in a time of 17:10.
