LAST WEEK: Fort Vancouver lost to King’s Way Christian 45-27; The Dalles beat Madras 14-0
GAME NOTES: The Dalles’ struggling programming got a huge boost with a stellar defensive effort against Madras. The Riverhawks held Madras to 16 yards of offense and zero passing yards. Senior QB Dominique Seufalemua completed 8 of 21 passes for 79 yards and two TDs. The Dalles rushed for 94 yards. By contrast, Fort gained 313 yards against King’s Way, but the Trappers managed only 12 net rushing yards. QB Erik Coppinger had -51 net rushing yards. When he had time to pass, he threw for 301 yards and 3 TDs. Kyron Lowe-Ash had a huge game with 14 receptions for 193 yards and 1 TD. But Fort also surrendered 412 yards, including 371 passing yards. Fort has three wins over the past two season and two of them have been against The Dalles (58-28 in 2014 and 34-20 in 2015).
