Players to watch: Skyview RB Blake Ingram rushed for 913 yards and 16 TDs and was a standout on defense; Monroe RB Jacob Jerome rushed for 1,237 yards and 21 TDs.
Game notes: The winner of this game is District 1 No. 2 on the state bracket and would travel to play the winner of Camas-Bethel. Skyview tied for second in the 4A Greater St. Helens League at 4-2. The Storm finished second in a three-team tiebreaker Monday to earn the No. 3 seed. Monroe tied for second in the Wesco at 5-2, earning the No. 2 seed as it beat Snohomish. Monroe QB Zach Zimmerman passed for 1,546 yards and 15 TDs with only three INTs. The Bearcats had four receivers with at least 22 catches, including Jerome. Former WSU receiver Michael Bumpus is the first-year head coach at Monroe. Skyview QB Brody Barnum passed for 1,610 yards and 15 TDs. Skyview WR Jeremiah Wright had 36 catches for 516 yards and 7 TDs.
