Last week: Mountain View beat Skyview 25-22; Heritage lost to Union 35-29
Last meeting: Mountain View won 45-0 in 2014.
Players to watch: Mountain View RB Preston Jones rushed for 254 yards and a TD last week; Heritage QB Gavin Lee passed for 173 yards and two TDs and rushed 63 and another TD last week vs. Union
Game notes: Jones is the region’s leading rusher with 1,266 yards. The Thunder showed they could pass the ball, too. QB Colin Biggs passed for 141 yards. Freshman WR Darien Chase caught seven passes for 113 yards. After failing to score a TD in their previous 12 quarters, the Timberwolves scored four last week vs. Union. Lee, Kalani Umiamaka and Lafi Sosene had success running the ball. The Heritage defense produced a safety last week.
