Prep football preview: Prairie vs. Fort Vancouver

PraFortPRAIRIE (0-3, 0-1) vs. FORT VANCOUVER (1-2, 0-0)

3A Greater St. Helens League game

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday; Kiggins Bowl, Discovery MS, Vancouver

Last week: Prairie lost to Kelso 14-6; Fort Vancouver lost to White Salmon 32-0.

Last meeting: Prairie won 49-0 in 2014.

Players to watch: Prairie QB Kevin Aguirre has passed for 274 yards and rushed for 98. Fort QB Erik Coppinger leads the Fort offense.

Game notes: Prairie’s defense held Kelso to 270 yards of offense. That number might have been lower if the offense had been able to sustain drives longer and keep the defense off the field. … Fort Vancouver has been shutout twice already this season. … The Falcons need cut down on miscues. They had four fumbles in the second half last week.

The Prep Proletariat says: “Fort offense has struggled, and Prairie plays good defense. PRAIRIE 23, FORT VANCOUVER 0.”

Score Czar pick: Prairie 36, Fort Vancouver 14
