peacepipeHUDSON’S BAY (1-8) vs. FORT VANCOUVER (1-8)

When, where: 8 p.m., Friday; Kiggins Bowl, Discovery MS, Vancouver

TV: Fort Sports, cable Ch. 28, 328 HD

Last meeting: Hudson’s Bay won 20-19 in 2014

Players to watch: Hudson’s Bay QB Jordan Hickman becomes the starter after serving as the backup as a sophomore; Fort Vancouver QB Erik Coppinger gets the call for the Trappers as a sophomore.

Game notes: Hudson’s Bay won last year’s Peace Pipe Game, then lost their last nine games, only once scoring more than 12 points in a game. The Trappers could score points last season, but stopping opponents was a challenge. Fort gave up at least 41 points in their last six games in 2014. Mark Oliverio takes over at Bay, while Cal Szueber is in his second season of his second stint at Fort.

The Prep Proletariat says: “If nothing else, Bay vs. Fort has been a competitive rivalry with three of the past five meetings being decided by one point. There aren’t a lot of familiar names on these rosters, so we’ll side with one familiar name: Cal Szueber. FORT VANCOUVER 26, HUDSON’S BAY 20
