Camas No. 8 at 4A, Hockinson No. 5 at 2A in MaxPreps preseason state football rankings
Everybody loves rankings, even though they mean absolutely nothing.
That’s right. It doesn’t matter who is making them — The Associated Press, Seattle Times, Score Czar, whoever — rankings don’t matter.
But fans love them. And rankings certainly get people riled up.
So, with that in mind, we offter the preseason high school football state rankings by MaxPreps.
Only two Southwest Washington teams broke into the top 10 in Class 4A through 1A in MaxPrep’s rankings: Camas, which came in No. 8 in 4A; and Hockinson, No. 5 in 2A.
And while I’m completely outraged by the lack of respect of Southwest Washington football in these rankings, I’ll be sure to bookmark them before making out my ballot for the AP preseason football poll.
