Camas girls No. 1 in first coaches state cross country rankings
The Camas girls cross country team has won two state championships the past two seasons.
And, according to the state’s coaches, the Papermakers are headed for No. 3.
Camas was ranked No. 1 in Class 4A in the first state rankings by the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Papermakers are led by the junior Alexa Efraimson.
Prairie, led by senior Nicole Goecke, is ranked No. 4 on the Class 3A rankings.
Other local teams earning rankings include the Columbia River boys (No. 7 in 3A), La Center boys (No. 5 in 1A), La Center girls (No. 8 in 1A) and Union girls (others in 4A).
