Since not all of us celebrated New Year’s Eve at a fancy party, let’s check out some photographs of people who did. (Thank you, Facebook!)

Here’s Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt, with Sherri McMillan, owner of Northwest Personal Training, at the Mayor’s New Year’s Eve Ball at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. The hotel also was the site of Vancouver’s New Year’s Eve Gala, hosted by the Rotary.

Here’s Paul Montague, membership director of the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, celebrating with friends.

Now, to be fair to Battle Ground Mayor Mike Ciraulo, since we posted an earlier photograph of him posing with a random group of ladies, here he is with his wife, Gilda. The bearded man looks like he should be playing in a jazz club, but he’s actually Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart, with wife Heather Melton-Stuart.

And finally, because he’s the highest-paid employee ($193,450 a year) in Clark County government but you don’t see him out and about very often, here’s a photograph of Medical Examiner Dr. Dennis Wickham (in bow tie).
