Of mayoral duties and Big Macs

We’ve had an editor (ahem, Lou Brancaccio), who has opined before on the topic of “It’s not just about the politician, but the company that they keep.”

Well, count Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt in the company of one Ronald McDonald.

The two will have a joint appearance at the ground breaking of the McDonald’s on East Mill Plain at 4 p.m. Friday. Remember? The one that burnt down when that lady’s car caught fire in the drive-thru?

When reached for a quote by text message, Leavitt simply said: “I love Big Macs!” (Guess working out and being under 50 is good for some things).
