Jeanne Harris in recovery mode

Those watching the Vancouver City Council meeting on CVTV closely last night (yes, all three of you) may have been wondering just what was up with the crutch behind the council bench.

It belongs to Councilor Jeanne Harris, who sported a foot boot to go with the crutch. She had surgery for a recurring arthritis problem in her left toe.

Also spotted: Harris and Jeanne Stewart talking animatedly after council workshops have been completed — a departure from just a few months ago, to be sure. It’s the second time they’ve had a post-meeting chat. And there were smiles. Is a reconciliation in the works?
