The would-be First Lady of Vancouver pulls a Stuart

Stephanie Turlay, wife of mayoral candidate and Vancouver City Councilor Bill Turlay who also serves as his campaign manager, was sitting in the front row of the council meeting this week. After Identity Clark County Executive Director Paul Montague finished speaking, she didn’t mince words.

Turlay said “bull—,” loud enough for the council to hear. While swearing in the county building is old news, usually people don’t swear in the council chambers  — at least not out loud — so the fact that it was done by the campaign manager of a mayoral candidate is blog-worthy. (Unlike when County Commissioner Steve Stuart said it over the hiring of Don Benton, however, Turlay didn’t storm out of the room.)

She was sitting far enough away from the CVTV microphone at the table so it didn’t come through loud and clear on the audio, but if you listen for it you can hear it. And Montague confirmed that she called bull— on him.
