In March, we had a blog post comparing several local faces with eerily similar celebrities.

We included this photo of Battle Ground Mayor Mike Ciraulo and his separated-at-birth brother Mel Gibson:

Turns out, we’re not the only ones who see the similarities between Ciraulo and the infamous celebrity.

While lounging by the Treasure Island pool in Las Vegas, Ciraulo was approached by a Gibson fan.

“I just had a guy come up to me at the pool and ask to shake my hand (thought I was Mel),” Ciraulo said in a text message.

While a Gibson-esque Vegas visit would likely include binge drinking and racial epithets, Ciraulo’s vacation was more wholesome.

The Mayor was in Sin City with family, celebrating his sister-in-law’s 40th birthday.
