Big brother is watching you
You may not know this, but be aware next time you’re downtown: City Hall can see you.
When government moved into its new digs at Sixth and Esther streets, they mounted a webcam on the roof that streams video from the Columbia River, downtown, Mount Hood and other sights within its 360-degree viewfinder.
(No word if that includes Mayor Tim Leavitt’s condo just across Esther Short Park).

Today, the city excitedly tweeted that the camera had spotted a bald eagle.
Of course the symbol of our great nation would hang out in America’s Vancouver.
There’s some gorgeous stills on the site, but there’s no word yet whether or not the cam has been or can be used to bust crime or anything of the like.
