About last night
Less than a month ago, Clark County Commissioner Steve Stuart sent a nice note to members of the Vancouver City Council after he attended the opening of the new City Hall.
“I started thinking about how far we’ve come in our work together,” Stuart wrote. “It really doesn’t seem like that long ago when there were more concerns about turf and political positioning than shared responsibilities. But it was a long time ago. We’ve come so far since then.”
Well, that was then, this was last night.
The city council unanimously passed an emergency ordinance to block the county’s proposed biomass plant.
One blip in an otherwise harmonious relationship? Or is the turf war back on?
Stay tuned.
