Computer gives unfavorable assessment of my email
Well, this explains why Clark County Assessor Peter Van Nortwick never got the email I sent him about the open position.
I routinely exchange emails with county employees, so I didn’t know my email address would be caught by a junk filter.
The type of emails that get blocked by The Columbian’s filters are ones for discount pharmaceuticals, are written in a foreign language or have subject lines in all caps, such as REGARDING YOUR TRANSFER OF FUNDS.
Van Nortwick said when he and I had emailed in the past, it was on his personal email account he used during the election. But he said he has emailed with Columbian Editor Lou Brancaccio on his work account.
So my email gets labeled as junk, while Lou’s sails through. Nice.
