With Vancouver out, Boomer still searching for a new home
During a taping Tuesday for CVTV’s “Clark County Focus,” Commissioner Steve Stuart answered questions from me and Ken Vance, editor of The Reflector.
We talked baseball, the Columbia River Crossing, the Cowlitz lawsuit and more.
On the failed plan to bring the Yakima Bears to Vancouver, Stuart said he thinks it’s likely that the Northwest League team will move to the Portland metro area. Since Vancouver’s out, he said the front runners are Milwaukie and Beaverton.
We’re sure Boomer, the mascot for the Class A team, will find a nice new home.
And just as well it’s not Vancouver, considering what happened the last time a bear was found near Clark College.
