Partying with Mitt
Who wants to stay indoors debating platform planks and tedious resolutions on the first warm sunny day in weeks? Not a select group of Republicans, including Clark County state committeeman Brent Boger, who deserted the proceedings at the Hilton Saturday afternoon to attend a social event for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at the home of Camas philanthropists David and Patricia Nierenberg.
Romney and David Nierenberg met 33 years ago when both worked at Bain and Co., a Boston-based management consulting firm, and have stayed in touch. Romney, who is widely expected to run for president in 2012, delivered the keynote address at the state GOP convention.
