Obama images over the top?

At least one Vancouver resident was appalled at the “Impeach Obama” signs that sprouted on street corners around downtown during the GOP Convention last week showing President Barack Obama sporting a Hitler-esque mustache.

The woman, who didn’t leave her name, said she was canceling plans to bring a friend downtown during the convention because she didn’t want to expose her to “that kind of hate and ugliness.”

“Although I am a Democrat, I am not a hateful Democrat,” she said. “I wouldn’t have done something like that for a Republican president.”

The GOP may not be to blame. At least some of those signs were taped to the display table set up at Esther Short Park by followers of discredited right-winger Lyndon LaRouche.
