Boger lands council endorsements
Brent Boger, a candidate for Clark County prosecuting attorney, has been endorsed by three Vancouver city councilors.
Jeanne Stewart, Jeanne Harris and Larry Smith have thrown their support behind Boger, a senior assistant Vancouver city attorney.
In their endorsements, the councilors highlight their experience working with Boger for more than a decade.
“There are many candidates in the queue and many good people have filed for offices,” Stewart said in a statement. “Many of those people I do not know well, but I do know you in two or more arenas.”
Following Vancouver Mayor Tim Leavitt‘s endorsement of Boger’s opponent, Deputy Prosecutor Tony Golik, last month, Boger was quick to point out that he has seldom worked with Leavitt. (The former councilman took office in January.) Boger noted that he had won the endorsement of former mayor Royce Pollard.
The winner of the Nov. 2 election will succeed Art Curtis, the county’s elected prosecuting attorney for 29 years, who is stepping down at the end of the year.
