President invited to partake in event with ‘guns, coffee and good company’

Gun enthusiasts in Clark County will host a “Packin’ Heat” open-carry event April 27, and they have extended an invitation to two very special guests.

“We are issuing an open invitation to President (Barack) Obama or Vice President (Joe) Biden to come, enjoy, drink coffee, and explain their gun control policies to us,” according to an event announcement made by the group Open Carry Vancouver.

Good luck with that. It’s a valiant effort, but I’m guessing the president and vice president have a lot going on.

For those interested in the event, here are the details: The open-carry meeting takes place noon to 4 p.m. April 27 at Coffee Villa, 13011 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., in Vancouver.

“Coffee Villa is Open Carry-friendly, so come toting your favorite sidearm,” according to the announcement. Here’s a video of Open Carry Vancouver’s last event at the coffee shop (footage of the event kicks in at about the 1-minute mark):
