Mielke gives Jenkins endorsement

Clark County Commissioner Tom Mielke endorsed Vancouver City Council candidate John Jenkins late last week.

Here’s the full text of the endorsement (not edited):

I’ve have known John Jenkins long enough to learn he is a man of great integrity and with good credential’s to serve on the Vancouver City Council. I believe John is what this Council needs to get back on track to representing the citizens of Vancouver. I am proud to know John Jenkins and highly recommend others to support him to sit on the Vancouver’s City Council. It is my privilege to endorse John Jenkins for Vancouver City Council.

Mielke, a Republican, joins the Building Industry Association of Clark County and Jenkins’ former primary opponent Jack King O’Neal III in endorsements.

Jenkin’s general election opponent, Bart Hansen, who was appointed to the council in January, has garnered endorsements from Mayor Tim Leavitt, former Mayor Royce Pollard and the Vancouver Firefighters Union.
