Jenkins gets builder’s association endorsement
Vancouver City Council candidate John Jenkins scored his first major endorsement today, when he announced that the Building Industry Association of Clark County gave him its support.
The Building Industry Association of Clark County is a trade association of more than 900 members representing the interests of all businesses involved in land development and construction.
Former primary opponent Jack King O’Neal III also endorsed Jenkins.
Jenkin’s general election opponent, Bart Hansen, who was appointed to the council in January, has garnered endorsements from Mayor Tim Leavitt, former Mayor Royce Pollard and the Vancouver Firefighters Union.
Also in Jenkins news, he’s sending a request for an inquiry to the C Tran Board of Directors to look into if board member and Vancouver City Councilor Jeanne Harris can be independent, impartial and have integrity, according to a campaign release.
