Everybody’s talkin’

State Democrats couldn’t help but smirk Tuesday when the political blog Hotline reported that Republican Dino Rossi will be a featured guest speaker at a Seattle event promising to teach real estate investors how to make money from buying foreclosed and distressed properties.

Rossi, a commercial real estate investor and two-time candidate for governor, is weighing whether to enter the U.S. Senate race against Sen. Patty Murray and probably could have done without the publicity.

The May 25 Homeowner Conference will teach such lessons as “How to consistently earn over a 50% ROI (return on investment) per year buying and selling foreclosures” and “The 9 secrets behind Washington’s most successful foreclosure investors.”
